The Standing Committee on Regulatory Affairs SC does this by:
- Identifying and analyzing trends, proposals and issues relating to capital markets.
- Working with ICSA members to achieve a global position on selected issues and providing consolidated securities industry feedback to policy makers, regulators, and global standard setters with the aim of achieving rational and globally consistent regulation.
- Actively engaging with policymakers and regulators through the Secretary General and ICSA members.
- Developing and issuing position papers, comment letters, and correspondence on relevant topics Formation and oversight of ad hoc working groups of member representatives to examine issues identified by the committee which require focused analysis and follow up action
- Advising the ICSA Advisory Group on the above matters and proposing the general agenda for future policy activity
